Hi, I’m Desiree Williams—author, pastor’s wife, and creative redeemed by God.

For more than a decade, I’ve lived the ups and downs of the writing life. I know what it’s like to balance family, ministry, and deadlines, while also carrying the deep call from God to share His heart through story.

I believe books are more than entertainment—they’re tools of harvest, vessels of hope, and nets God can use to gather hearts for His kingdom. That’s why I’m passionate about serving other Christian fiction writers on their journey.

Ready to finally birth that story from your heart?
Then I'd love to help you refine your storytelling to craft an impactful adventure that enriches your readers' lives.

Inquiry

how it works

A: No, sorry. Development/ Content editing is my specialty, where I focus on the big picture—your story’s structure, characters, and themes. I will note repetitive or pet words and phrases. Or anything that could be improved with your prose, pacing, and the like. If I see something that will benefit you, I will make a comment about it. However, commas and I are not on speaking terms. We strongly dislike each other as they never fall in line the way I believe they should.

Q: Do you offer copy edits or proofreading?

A: I base turnaround times on the current season of life at the time of scheduling. On average, edits are returned within a 6 to 12 week window—depending on how heavily the project needs editing. However, you’ll always receive clear start and completion dates before we begin any project. The details shared in the booking form, along with the first chapter of your manuscript, help me determine how much time to reserve for your project. All timeline details are agreed upon at the time of booking, so there are no surprises.

Q: How do you handle turnaround times?

A: My heart is to serve female Christian authors, but I also accept clean/wholesome stories that align with my editing strengths. Please review, in detail, the content and genres that I will either accept or decline.

Q: Do you only work with Christian books?

A: Full-length novels are preferred, but novellas are welcome on a case-by-case basis.

Q: Do you edit novellas or only novels?
